& Referral Information

Medicare

Walk-and-Talk Therapy is eligible for Medicare rebates under the Better Access Initiative. Depending on the type of clinician, you may receive the following rebates:

  • Registered Psychologist: $XXX per session

  • Clinical Psychologist: $XXX per session

  • Social Worker: $XXX  per session

  • Occupational Therapist: $XXX per session

To access these rebates, you’ll need a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan. After each session, Medicare will reimburse the rebate amount into your bank account within 24-48 hours.

NDIS

WOW’s therapy services are designed to support your goals and enhance your quality of life. Under the NDIS, our services fall under the category of Improved Daily Living Skills. We accept both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients. However, due to the outdoor nature of our sessions, not all clients or presentations may be suited to our services. To qualify, clients must have established counselling goals and meet other criteria.

To determine if our service is right for you, please complete the NDIS Screening Form below. We’ll reach out once an appointment slot becomes available.

Doctors Referal

To book Walk-and-Talk Therapy sessions, you'll need a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan. Make sure to request that your GP specifies "Walk-and-Talk Therapy" and highlights the need for outdoor-based treatment.

Once you have your referral, you can book your sessions through our website or by contacting our office. Your initial referral will cover up to 6 sessions. After this, your GP will need to review and approve any additional sessions.

Engaging with your GP not only facilitates your access to our unique therapy but also helps promote the benefits of outdoor-based mental health support within the medical community.
