COVID-19 Statement

WOW is committed to providing a safe environment for all of our stakeholders, including our participants, volunteers, team members, their families, and the communities in which we operate.

To achieve this, we have conducted training and education with all our team in the community, with all our WOW facilitators being accredited in the ‘COVID-19 infection control training’ course.

We have taken extensive precautions with our enhanced hygiene practices at programs to protect our participants, volunteers and team, including increased cleaning of equipment, disinfection solution used on wetsuits, use of hand sanitiser, and masks as required, while continuing to use QR code check-ins.

We are keeping up to date with the latest government and public health agencies’ advice, with our team continuing to meet regularly to monitor activities and discuss plans addressing all aspects of managing WOW’s response to the pandemic.

As restrictions ease and conditions permit in each of the states we operate, some of these precautions may be eased. However, this will always be done with the safety of all our stakeholders as our primary objective.

While these uncertain times are challenging and can bring with it a lot of complexities, at WOW we remain committed to delivering our mental health support services to help those people who might need it most in our community.
